Not 'directly' without breaching the Forum's rules sorry, just hints. This is the relevant part of Post #1 you were referred to:
In modern MSV protected devices patching of the firmware may additionally be needed
Your DS61 is one such device. Do an internet search for "Universal Firmware Patcher for Protected Garmin Devices".

    @DAVINATOR
That's great you didn't need to patch. Would you kindly detail the process that worked for your DriveSmart? It may help others with DS61 or similar device with MSV protected firmware. Thanks.

I think it is Android based. No, you can not
And why would he do that when it has a free update of everything?

Ask Andrey how to add it

    Hi,
As a newbie, pardon the question.
What is the difference between US+Canada Safety Camera.GPI and USCanadaCyclopsSample.GPI?
    Sincerely,
    RM

    murugan,

If you have a Garmin that gets Speed Cam via Garmin Express they come in this format style (
006-D2072-00.gpi) along with the unlock key of the same name.

You can download the GPI files from here or other sites and you can give it what ever name you like.

There is no difference to the GPI files you have in question. (US+Canada Safety Camera.GPI and USCanadaCyclopsSample.GPI.)
A lie goes around the internet before anyone ever fact checks it if it is true or not. In most cases no one ever checks anything they just accept it as fact.....

    Hi asprin624,
Thank you for that excellent clarification. I learn something new every day.
PS: I used the USCanadaCyclopsSample.GPI (Oct 12) and it works like a charm - there are Red Light AND Speed Cameras a couple of miles from where I live - never noticed them before (although clearly posted) but my Garmin warned me perfectly.
    Sincerely,
    RM

    Hi All,
    Another newbie question:
I copied the USCanadaCyclopsSample.GPI (Oct 12, post #413) in the POI folder on the device (I have a Garmin Nuvi 1450 LMT). Every time I turn it on (boot it up) I get the message "New Extras data found. Would you like to install this data so that it will be available if the card is removed?" I tap Yes, check (tap) the box for the USCanadaCyclopsSample.GPI and tap on Install.
Unfortunately, I have to do this every time I start the GPS. I have tried copying the file USCanadaCyclopsSample.GPI to the SD Card (under the Garmin/POI folder (and deleting the file in the device /POI folder)), but the same message appears (except it says "New Extras data found on card")
Either way, the POI's show up in under Tools->Settings->Proximity Points->Garmin Safety Cameras
It's no biggie going the extra "Yes->Install" route but wondered if I am doing something wrong.

PS: I did have another poi.gpi file (74 kB) in the device (Garmin/POI) folder but I have renamed it and used the USCanadaCyclopsSample.GPI instead. The maps I have are CN North America NT 2025.20
    Sincerely,
    RM
