Please write us what did you do exactly...
It must work in any case because dashboard is not have any localization string and so all text record for each of all language may be in their locale text source (glx file) only!
Do you edit correspondent glx file in Nuvi?

I removed all text files except English on my GPS to be sure I was on the right file. Edit the file same place you showed..didn't work. Then just for sure, edited all Speed text in file for a test, and no change to the text showing in display on Nnvi 2555 for my alternate dashboard. Has to be hidden text in the dshb file. The files I changed were en_AV.glx and en_GB.glx. So if "Speed" is changed in glx on the GPS, and the text still shows up on the display, then has to be in the dshb file. Even went back to the files on the Gps, and ran a check for Speed to be sure it was changed to what I typed.

Edit: Deleted all TEXT files on GPS and still the map display show the text of "Speed" on the screen?
Has to be in the dshb file somewhere.
