You can use the RGN file in a few ways:

1. Open it in any hex editor, look near the beginning for DSKIMG in plain text (44 53 4B 49 4D 47 in hex) and remove all bytes prior so the file will commence with "DSKIMG", then save the modified file as a VPM file
or;
2. Open it in RGN_Tool.exe (attached below) and use the save button in the first section, it will be automatically saved as a VPM file:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
or;
3. Drag the RGN onto [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] with your device in preboot/garmin mode and flash it. That method saves you having to add the VPM manually after using 1 or 2 above and is why Garmin sometimes supplies Voice files packed as RGNs.

hello guys, can anyone tell me how to put a downloaded voice file into a garmin nuv 3598, got this unit off my dad and would like to use the homer simpson voice but i havent learnt how to do it yet, is there a tutorial available, i have learnt how to put in a safetycameras update into the poi folder.

Unfortunately you cannot add these VPM files to your SP c330. Reason being as per my answer to your question here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
