You can use the RGN file in a few ways:

1. Open it in any hex editor, look near the beginning for DISKIMG in plain text (44 53 4B 49 4D 47 in hex) and remove all bytes prior so the file will commence with "DISKIMG", then save the modified file as a VPM file.

2. Open it in RGN_Tool.exe (attached below) and use the save button in the first section, it will be automatically saved as a VPM file:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

3. Drag the RGN onto [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] with your device in preboot/garmin mode and flash it. That method saves you having to add the VPM manually and is why Garmin sometimes supplies Voice files packed as RGNs.
