I've PURCHASED Oxford Language Guide & downloaded it to my 3790T. On restarting, it came up with the error ... "Installed version of Language Guide is corrupt". After many repeated downloads, I still get the same message, and after a week of emailing, no joy from Garmin support. Any suggestions as to why this might be occurring?

I have downloaded the Language Guide 3 times and am still getting the message: "The installed version of the Garmin Language Guide is Corrupt. Download Again."
I have tried downloading to both the device and a memory card. Neither provides a clean install.
Looking at the Main Garmin Folder (and memory card), in both, I have a zip folder called "D046800.zip" and two files, .gma and .unl

I think................Completely deleted the contents of the "Garmin" folder from the original download. Reconnected and re-downloaded to the main unit (not SD card). On start-up, just wait a few seconds before pressing any buttons, a dialogue pops up telling you the download is installing (it doesn't tell you this on the downloads page). A little patience while the countdown finishes. I then restarted the device and went to the dictionary icon. A little hour glass spins for a couple of seconds and that's it.
A bit of guidance would have helped on the Extras download page. But there you have it............................
You have to navigate to get to the good.

"You could however hear booth languages if you do it like Garmin developers expects the user to do."
@Ballebar
I think the developers had much better approach with the "Phrases" part where both language options were provided on the one screen. Much more user friendly than changing language setting in dictionary and then searching for word in unknown language.
Overall though I can see that the GLG could still be a useful tool when travelling in a foreign country. I was thinking maybe 'Commerce' needed POI data from Europe map which I don't have loaded. Interesting though that 'Commerce' problem seems to be a fault in the original package, and is limited to certain models.
On nuvi 1300 Commerce work perfect.
I upload my folder here : [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
When i install new glg i erase old folder and restart nuvi.
Click on glg icon and nuvi say no glg instaled.
Connect nuvi to pc and add new LEX_PKG folder in folder Garmin on nuvi.
Open with notepad D046800.unl and add unlock code and save
Restart nuvi and whait 1 min
Click on glg icon and wait 15 sec and all work.
Thanks lolypop000, files are all the same. See Balleba post #54.
Seems to be a problem with GLG and 3790 units (and maybe some others e. 1200).
I will try our folder later but from post #54 don't expect problem to go away.
On my nuvi 1350 works fine. How to do it from lolypop000
