Thread: Mio Moov 330 update maps

The procedure is simple
- download the contents form post #7, put it in the root of the blank card, add the maps for iGO, and that's it. Put card in device off, turn it on, voila.

No, you can not use Garmin, different OS (Garmin have their own). Version that is available for WinCE is too old, too old content and very problematic.

There is a possibility, I did a long time ago, to download software from the MIO site, and to perform device recovery. Or even find the right firmware (if still available).
You can even download unlocked Mio Mireo (black edition) software and insert it into your device, but it's maps are also outdated.

So, using device with SD/internal unlocker and iGO on it is still the best choice.

In this way:
the most of navi devices are designed to do auto update software by just inserting a proper card (with firmware) into them and resetting them.
When booting, they first contact the card (if present), and read the content from it (update).
This feature is an exploit for making unlockers.
This bypasses system limitations, the factory launcher, and practically only invokes the OS (WinCE).

Then runs a launcher that someone is made (from card), in this case Visual GPS, or SimpleShell, or Costas's...
So, you don't need any software on device.

ok did that .someone set all like that on that map pack from 2019
but this time i get all time black screen after orange mio
i install visual gps and was fine till i turn of and add sd card with igo8
next couple times black screen
