Thread: Missing Speed Cameras, and Event List

Hi there,

I have been using Igo Primo 2 on a HTC HD2 running Android Jellybean 4.1.2 and now Kit Kat 4.4.4. I used to use Igo 8 pre android with the Windows mobile 6.5 that cam with the phone. This worked flawlessly.

However, since using Android and Primo, and now Android and Igo My Way 9.6 I don't have speed cam warnings graphically or audibly.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a fix.

The same Igo versions work on an HTC Desire S and Samsung Galaxy s3 without problem.

You put speedcam.txt in content/speedcam and see that speedcam.scdb file not empty after running proggy?

I have a file called speedcam.spdb in the content\speedcam folder but not .scdb. Is this the one you mean?

The .spdb file is 121kb in size and his has a modified date of 22/02/2016. So if that's the correct file then that is not the problem.

Unless you are using *.spc, you must have speedcam.txt for proggy to convert over to speedcam.scdb for it to use. If the conversion is successful, then you should see icons showed up on map. Alerts will not work in simulation, so you'll have to drive pass it. Sound depends on whether you're using TTS or not. Either case, you have to configure audio files and TTS voice file correctly. Skin is another factor.

on your HTC HD2 with Kikat where is the app data stored internal or external SD card? if all your data is stored in the external SD then speedcams won't work on kikat version as it does not allows write access to external SD introduced by kikat firmware. You need to have some information on the internal SD and some information on the external SD.

On the internal SD create following folder structure on the internal sd

iGO
---content
--debug
--font
--gfx
--license
--save
--ui_android
--ux
data.zip
sys.txt

In the content folder only have the following folders
global_cfg
dictionaries
lang
speedcams ---> put the speedcams information here
tmc
userdata

all the rest on external SD

rename the iGO folder on your SD to Addons and only have the content folder within this.

in your sys.txt file add the following

[folders]
has_secondary_root=1
android_secondary_root_path="/Removable/MicroSD/Addons"

data="/storage/emulated/0/iGO"

you must have the correct path to your addons folder as shown in bold above

The phone is a Windows phone, however I run Android of whatever rom version, from the SD card. It is a 16gb SD card and has a 4gb ext4 partition from which the main android system boots. All other apps afaik are stored/run from the fat32 partition of the SD card i.e. the remaining 12gb. File manager doesn't show the ext4 partition. However, I do have some software on my PC which will recognise the ext4 partition and will allow writing to it. Therefore, I may be able to make the folder structure you suggest but what would need copying to these folders apart from content?

The sd card in file manager is listed as /storage/sdcard0.

So you are essentially running a android thin client on your windows phone, The above may not work in this environment but you can try and advise on the result.

I am doubtful that doing as you suggest will solve the problem.

Looking at the contents of the ext4 partition, there seems to be only a skeleton of android. There are only 2 directories:
Lost & Found which is empty and NexusHD2-KitKat. These is then subdivided into data & system folders. Within the data folder there's another folder called data. Thsi has similar content to the storage/emulated/0/Android(1)/data folder on my Galaxy S3. There are subfolders which begin com.*. There is one called com.navngo.igo.javaclient. In this folder there is a subfolder called Cache which is empty

Within then first data folder create another folder called iGO this where you put the internal SD content I outlined. Try this and advise of the result.
