A kind of merge will work.

The minimum you will need to do to your skin is replace the speedwarn1.bmp (or equivalent) in your skin. Unfortunately this will replace your skins speedcam icons with the default ones.
With a little more work you can avoid this problem by just replacing the traffic light icon (2nd from bottom).

Also you will need to replace/add in your skin, category 30, from variable_def.ui (or equivalent) in your skin with this from the ux.
