Hi i have A CHINA ANDROID KITKAT 4.4.4 and no matter what text i add to system it cant see the maps on the ext sd card and one have any ideas...followed the first setup on this forum but still cant see maps

If [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]'s explanation do not help, then may be is missing licence or something like, do you see something when check in About->Contains->Maps ? If licence is OK, so just try another "tested" instalation instead of initial one used from China producer

Hi licences are all good its getting iGO to read the sd card is the issue i have added content folder into the addons folder and added text to .sys as suggested but not working

Hello... wairuri
on android 4.4.x to 5.1.x the name of the card is usually "/storage/extSdCard"
to be sure, check it with the total commander...
check also the folder on "addons/content/map"
also you can try with a different name instead "addons"
like mine:
has_secondary_root=1
android_secondary_root_path="/storage/extSdCard/SharedMaps"
or post your sys here.....
