    Hi,

    I am not able to direct the application to the content on SD card. I have everything copied in

    \Card\Android\data\com.nng.igoprimoisr2013march24.javaclient\files\iGO

    but application still tell me "Map Initialisation error", "Map files cannot be found".

    I tried almost everything in sys.txt with "linked_root_list=" parameter.

    Currently i have there:

    [folders]
    linked_root_list="Card/Android/data/com.nng.igoprimoisr2013march24.javaclient/files"
    has_secondary_root=0
    ;android_secondary_root_path="/storage/extSdCard/addons"

    Can anyone help me please ?

    Thanks in advance,

    Majq

    If the program runs correctly - and it is, because otherwise there would be no statement about the lack of maps - it means that you do not have a folder content folder
    "Map" - or maps have been copied (computer or phone) with an error.

    It is not a matter of the program - only copy data.
    Set back from the path of what was once and copy maps

    Hi majq,
    It sounds to me the app cannot see your "addons" folder. Are you certain "/storage/extSdCard" is the correct name for your SDCard?
    You can check by downloading the app Total Commander from the app store and use it to see the exact address of your SDCard.

    Hi wojpen and k1w1_123,

    based on your replies, I did two things:

    1) put .fbl maps into "Maps" folder on tablet
    2) modified sys.txt to reflect the name of SDCard - as I read in some articles on Internet, Android 6.0.1 uses card UID in the name of path, so it is /storage/9026-EFF8 on my device, so I modified sys.txt to this:

    [folders]
    linked_root_list="/storage/9026-EFF8"

    To be honest I do not know which one option actually helped or if both were necessary, but currently
    the application works perfectly. Thanks a lot for your help and naturally for upload !!!

    Regards,

    Majq

    First solution did a thing
    You made a mistake under 2.
    In sys, this is solution to add content on external mSD, for your case:
    [folders]
    has_secondary_root=1
    android_secondary_root_path="/storage/9026-EFF8/addons"

    Then, in map folder in internal memory leave only basemap.fbl, all other maps and poi's put in folders
    addons/content/map and addons/content/poi on mSD
    You can do also for building, DEM, phoeneme folders and files

    It is obvious that you have not complied with the procedure in

    Boki_Srb - Friend,
    I do not quite understand why you wrote this post?

    @majq - clearly marked in this post - [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] -29-596752-based-post1073387.html # post1073387
    Where and what installed!
    The first post version - which I have prepared - is installed in Adndroid / data / files - and does not require any addons.
    Please be polite and do not mix posts - inserting answers about other versions.
    It becomes unnecessarily confused.

    Your solution - as correct as possible - applies to "normal" versions that are partially installed in internal and addons in external memory.
    This topic - applies to a different version

    Thx and regards wojpen

    PS. Look and read installation description in first post this topic

    Yeah my friend, but:
    put .fbl maps into "Maps" folder on tablet
    usually it mean that it is in internal memory. He was not so clear what he did next, what is structure.

    And, he was not clear, everything - means everything. Not to forgot to put maps, or where are they puted?
    From that post I understood that he installed iGO from external memory. Then...? Second post oposite?

    Hi Boki_Srb and Wojpen,

    thanks for replies. In any case, I have following entries in sys.txt

    [folders]
    linked_root_list="/storage/9016-4EF8 /Card/Android/data/com.nng.igoprimoisr2013march24.javaclient/files/iGO"
    has_secondary_root=0
    ;android_secondary_root_path="/storage/extSdCard/addons"

    and put all content files to SD Card (I did not copy anything to tablet's internal memory)

    .fbl + .fda + .fpa -> Galaxy Tab S2\Card\Android\data\com.nng.igoprimoisr2013march24.javaclient\files\iGO\content\map
    .3dc + .3dl -> Galaxy Tab S2\Card\Android\data\com.nng.igoprimoisr2013march24.javaclient\files\iGO\content\building
    .poi -> Galaxy Tab S2\Card\Android\data\com.nng.igoprimoisr2013march24.javaclient\files\iGO\content\poi

    and everything is working fine. I just checked it and have POIs available as well as 3d buildings are displayed
    on map.

    So, from my point of view, it is functional and I will not change anything in sys or storage :-)

    Maybe the view during navigation should be lower (closer), but I do not want to bother you and will try
    to find any solution/advice on the web.

    Thanks so much !!!

    Majq
