add a button to SideList indicating the map provider. Press on it will show text and announce map info of current location. Long press will bring to a "debug" About->Content->Map screen. When a country or state changes, the provider is updated. Settings are under Extra Settings->Provider Settings

Add display off after idle time and touch the screen to show it. Also when region changes it show as well. Setting is under Extra Settings->Flag Settings

My mod to add the "Visual" option to speedcam/alert notification. This should allow/prevent the alert to be shown.
Note that notification of an alert is not the same as displaying of that icon on the map. Understand the difference

Try to in-line your change in the UX directly. Make sure to use an UTF-8 editor.
