Default The distance announced until the next turn is incorrect...

    I have a strange problem...

The distance announced until the next turn is incorrect...

When navigation says "After 100 meters turn right" the actual distance is around 50 meters (or even less)...
Or when it says "After 50 meters turn right" it is around 15 meters of actual distance...

I think it might have something to do with the phone (Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro), but I'm not sure...

I'm using iGO world 9.18.27.736653 with Arimi skin, but I think it is not related to the app...

The same thing happens when I use Here navigation.

Anybody has an idea how to solve this problem?

    Thanks in advance...

    Delays are a frequent occurrence
The thing is that the entire flow of events on modern devices (phones) does not work as it did on the old ones (standalone) - the software issues a command, addresses the launcher, then the driver, the latter transfers it to the audio subsystem, and only then does it sound. And you've already crossed 30 meters.

Use newer iGO (Pal) it can help sometime
And/Or set notifications to appear earlier and be aware of the difference
Before asking a question, know it's already discussed here and at 99.9% is not unique. Use search.

    Spoiler: obs
Many questions become very arduous, a lot of time chewed deja vu...Since we have lost all the year of work and effort, many people have no will to answer the same questions again. Me neither. Use a search, please.

@Goran I.: I solved the problem by looking at my device, at the map after the first announcement "turn after..." and seeing where I have to turn: "Aha, right at the third intersection!"

I am ultimately responsible for the correct behavior and not a computer-animated voice with system-related delays...

yes, iGO_Pal works best with Pongo skin and in DE I still use it - also on And.14 - Loqendo7

I don't think it's because of delays... Car position on map is always accurate... And the distance announced is always wrong no mater whether I'm going 100 or 50 km/h which would indicate the problem is something else other than delay...

Because I use a custom ROM I'll install identical version on my friend's phone (non rooted) to see if I can replicate the problem. Also, I'll create topic on XDA forum to see if any other custom ROM user has the same problem.

I'll try iGO Pal version but I doubt it will help because the problem persist in Here navigation as well...

    Thank you for the suggestions...

I have no problem navigating thanks to verbosity level being set to medium, but it is just annoying little bug...

PS: And also taking the eyes off the road to look at the phone at every intersection doesn't feel like a safe resolution of the mater...

I have the same voice 'problem' while the map position is correct and yes it is because of delays in the system/phone/tablet. I am using igo PAL.

and that's why I use a smartphone (Redmy Note 11+13), which is mounted on the left side of the dashboard, next to the steering wheel.
The car unit runs in the background, so the passenger looks at it 😉
So there's no problem looking at the display and still looking at the road 👍

** is still a habit since iGO8 on PDA 🙂
