Tex, are TMC you are getting from Here or TT licensed?
I tested in Athens, for example (and most of Greece), TT tmc signal is active, all OK realtime.

To Texas's observation I can add:
When I go visit my mother, I never use my gps, for obvious reasonsSince a few weeks I must make a detour for the last bit because of road works.
Reading Texas's post I downloaded Sygic and set up the destination, my mothers house. Sygics makes the detour !! Tomorrow live testing.
I set up the route on NextGen and NextGen isn't aware at all. I find that somehow dangerous as a few screens taps must be made to block the route (and later on to unblock?), meaning one has to do that in a safe way and best stop, which isn't always possible.
BTW, The full Europe Sygic package including life time updates is now 19,99 euros (offer valuable till the 15th), normal price 79,99 euros. Just saying.
If only NNG could make such offer and update maps as often as Sygic, that would not only be a miracle, but a commercial success as well.

That is why I bought SYGIC WORLD PREMIUM + TRAFFIC LIFETIME too. Now I have both iGO and SYGIC licensed. I combine it. At the moment I am thinking about TOMTOM GO mobile but so far these two I bought. It is good to have more than one so you combine and get the best result. iGO would be much better if it has SYGIC traffic updates not to mention fresh maps
NNG is lucky at the moment SYGIC GPS is below iGO when it comes to routing and reorutingbut maps, tmc and graphics hmm

Maybe if we. are. using TomTom Maps or something this can. be. better regarding TMC, I honestly doubt that but who knows... again if somebody is using TT maps can they confirm if there is a difference between TMC when using Here of TomTom.
I believe this has nothing to do with Maps but then again who knows....
So. far my experience and the one Goulash presented proved that TomTom/Sygic TMC i superior to iGO.

Yes, section in sys:
[tmc-http]
enabled=1
start=1
profile_name="nng-igo-tmc-igoworld"
;profile_name="nng-igo-tmc-iphone"
;profile_name="nng-igo-tmc-jci"
;profile_name="nng-igo-tmc-russia"
profile_version=2
...
Before forum crash there was a thread about profiles.
Interesting:
Same sys settings, Avic shows TT icon and basic info, World shows nothing. Not sure same traffic result, can not check now.

Avic cracked version - will show what you write in sys.txt
Right work Avic version - synchronization with pioneer head unit... And if head unit use TomTom maps and tmc then app show right icon.
