    I think if I were to upload it it would be more of an essay to explain it. It would be easier, and more enjoyable, to make some New Zealand gas icons for you. What stations are you looking for? Also, I could even make a few coffee shops or stores to suite your needs.[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]


    Out of curiosity, try this zip file attached. unzip the contents. add them to your data.zip, either in the "UI_Igo9" or "ui_android" folder. Backup your poi_visibilities.txt from your "save" folder and replace it with the one I have.

    I understand now what you mean about the essay . Your approach     has a lot in common with creating icons for kml files, something it took a lot of study and reading to understand. I must say I'm very impressed you
    were able to identify the main gas retailers on our little islands and find the logos for them!

    So far I've only been able to do a limited test on my WinCE device and your files work well. The experiment has uncovered a few inconsistencies in the way HERE and TomTom categorise pois, e.g TomTom lists g.a.s. as GAS, and PAK'nSAVE also appears as PAK 'nSAVE (with a space).

    I think I can overcome these differences by adding a few more lines to poi_visibilities.txt covering the variations. I assume there is no reason why in poi_visibilities.txt I cannot have multiple lines pointing at the same icon?

    I look forward to having a try and testing on my android phone when time permits.

    His branding is NOT for Android/NextGen. But...

    Upload your data.zip to some cloud service (zippyshare, 1fichier...) and send him a link (post it here)
    Write your phone resolution.

    Any more progress on this? I full-time in our motor home and have strarted using android nextgen ISRAEL_9.18.27.687519 with pongo skin. I know the bulk of your work was on primo. I am in the process of getting GIMP to try and convert your bmp to svg. I don't know how successful I will be till I try.

    I started tinkering around with gas icons for Luna/Nextgen and have it working for most gas stations. I'm off to work but reply to this post on the weekend and I can send you a link to test it.

    Okay sounds good, I am finding out just how difficult this poi stuff is!

    Got tbe file and copied them to the iGO dir. I see place holders for the pois but no branding graphics. Anythung in the sys.txt I need to change?
