iGO: which map is better in your country?

Hi guys!
Who can advise which provider to choose for Italy?
I'll travel in two weeks time and want to make sure which one to download?

Honestly, that is like doing a poll who likes rock&roll or jazz. Both TomTom and HERE have strengths and weaknesses.
Do a thread search and you find :

Reading the results of that search, I don't know for sure either.
Anyway, pick one, the most important is that you donot get lost and that is exactly the reason why you use a gps, right ?

When Caty created this thread with the poll, it's not to get popularity of which vendor is used by most people or their personal taste. The intention was to know which vendor is better in which region and why.

i tried HERE maps for a while but in small village in holland its crap.. so i use tomtom go and tomtom maps works a lot better..

In my country, Spain, I prefer TomTom than HERE, but both have troubles...

In Spain I find HERE Maps much more accurate. Sometimes TA maps drive me in wrong direction or I get into a dead-edn and I have to go back.

in France, (in my area) Tomtom is a better but it lacks a lot of update question roundabout and speed 30 km in the villages

Tomtom in Spain because in less trouble with roundabouts and highways exits.

As someone who installed Here and Tomtom on 2000+ GPS - I can definitely say that for Truck Drivers in All Europe better are HERE . Tomtom far behind . In Deutchland,UK,Dk,Nordics seems to be a smaller gap between the two providers. Have a nice day.

I also prefer TomTom in Spain. HERE is bad. Although both have websites where to notify the failures and usually fix them in a few months, but even for this TomTom is faster and more efficient.
