I'm not really sure which is better in my country (Australia), but out where I live in Western Queensland the HERE map seems to be the most accurate.
Whereis gets it wrong with a lot of the smaller roads (like the major intersection in my sig., lol), out by hundreds of metres in some spots & doesn't even show some that are shown on the HERE map.
HERE gets those mostly correct.
HERE gets it wrong with some of the unpaved road names or where they claim to be near, sometimes it'll say "Unpaved road near xxx", when it's 70 or 80 kilometres from where xxx actually is, and there'll be another location a lot closer that it could possibly use.
But the position of the road itself on the map is usually fairly accurate.
The spelling of some road names and locations could be a little better with the HERE map, lol.
Apparently in the higher populated areas nowdays it's six of one & half a dozen of the other as to which is most accurate.
One thing I like about Whereis is it shows major creeks and rivers out this way, HERE does not.
