You are right about the price. The price is more or less the same let's say for the 7" because they are the most common and ordered. But for that price, I would expect it to not flicker like an old fluorescent street lamp and also get a signal. It's a bummer because the unit is really nicely built. Maybe GPS is optional on this unit who knows

As you said there are a whole lot of these clones, but there are some (like the one I mentioned) that work flawlessly. The reason I made this thread is maybe people wish to get a bit informed before ordering a device like this or leave a suggestion.
