Open the US fw in RGN_Tool and in the GUI under "Firmware Sections", press "Save" on the first field (boot.bin) to save it somewhere convenient. Open the APEC fw and press "Load" on the first field then select the saved US boot.bin to load it. In "Overrides" panel check "HWID" and write 2270 then check "SW Version" and write 270. Press RGN button at top left to save the file. Only use safe naming of 227001000270.rgn. To flash, open the RGN in Updater.exe and connect the device in preboot. Updater will ask you to confirm flashing a lower version software than is already loaded. This method requires placing the DS50 into preboot to flash using Updater and some ppl have great trouble attaining preboot in new devices and also have trouble starting the flash quickly enough if they can attain preboot. If that's so, there is another method as you'd be aware using individual BIN files and SD card method, and again using US boot.bin as Ldr.bin to flash the APEC fw_all.bin and resources_7F05.bin, again with overrides set as before when saving the BIN files in RGN_Tool.

Not sure exactly what you're asking there. He only has one device afaik, a US/EU DS50 HWID 2270 to which he wants to flash APEC fw for some reason.

I guess you linked the above DS51 fw for a reason but again i'm unsure about why.
