Why don't you move a map of sufficient size from the device memory to the SD card. You can then download from Express to your device.

I just afraid to damage system files. There were 03 maps in 3597lmthd and it occurred all of 8gb.

    Give this a try:

Copy the file GarminDevice.xml from your unit to a blank sd card.
Connect this sd card with a separate cardreader to the PC.
Open Garmin Express and see if you can download the content you need.

SD card formatted to FAT 32 and GarminDevice.xml in Garmin directory. The full path is: x:/Garmin/GarminDevice.xml
And yes - you can move JCV and SID directory to SD card.
Correct paths are: x:/Garmin/JCV and x:/.System/SID
The maps correct path for new units on SD card is: x:/Map

Follow your instruction, all works well. Thanks @isg

How could i reset Garmin express at "up to date"? As it keep asking "update new map available" whenever i connect my Garmin to. Thanks

GarminExpress should offer to put maps on a mircoSD for your 3597 but that will likely only happen provided you do not insert the card until prompted to do so by GE.

If you still have problems even doing the above, replace the XML file you're using with the one generated by the device AFTER you've updated maps.

    @NuNGP,

What is the name of the map you put on your SD card?

    It should be gmapsupp.img

    Is the Map unlocked???

Do you have on the SD card?

    /Garmin/GarminDevice.xml
    /Map <---------------------------The map goes here

On the 310 the main map has to have the name gmapprom.img
