    Thing I noticed is that the processor is a Cortex A8. This could conceivably run Android, if it had enough onboard memory.

    It is not big secret! Garmin use in the latest device a chip for consumer goods. It is very cheaper and brand name give the most of the profits!
    That is why old Garmin device render map in more quick in compare with new Nuvi. But simple old device cost more 300 USD!!!
    Garmin, how much is 30 pieces of silver for Judas today? Were they worthy for crucifix of GPSPower?
