Downgrade at previous version and then install patched firmware
I've used the tool to apply the patch to my gupdate.gdc. I've saved the file and tried to copy the new modified file to both \garmin and \.system\ on my Nuvi 3760, but it does not seem to want to pick up the new file. I'm guessing since it's the same version already installed. How is this supposed to be done?

I bought the 3760 after reading posts from this forum that it can be patched to enable the 3790 features...SWEET...thank you!!!
I was having trouble patching the .rgn file using the updater all the while in service mode...it just could not detect the usb connected gps. after so many trials, I found out that there is a Garmin USB driver that I can install...after installing it, everything was great! I then updated the map and tested the voice commands and they work great!! With the 3790 patch, it added an alarm clock but it does not seem to work even when I have it checked. Anyone had success making this work?
Sweet...thanks Fringe!!!
