Device is working properly but info shows still 3.60 "european" version and I didn't noticed any changes in software and/or funcionality.
It's just looks like firmvare remaining unchanged.
Can anybody faced something like that? Is there any solution?
I will appreciate any help or clues.
    THX in advance!
    Is your 3790 US ?

    3790US Hwid = 1101
    3790Sg Hwid = 1288

    After flash to Sg/My
    For RGN_tool v0.44
    Garmindevice.xml will show hwid= 1288

    For RGN_Tool v0.60
    Garmindevice.xml will show hwid = 1101

For software version ., it will show 2.20 or 2.30 (Always :: if you didn't edit f/w by manual)
If it shows swv 3.60(without manually edit) ., it means your unit did not be flashed by mod .gcd

I guess you used a mod .gcd file
and will not be flashed to nuvi if swv is the same as current swv in unit.

So you need to override swv to lower or higher than swv in your unit for .gcd file.
But you can use any swv number for rgn file.

If success :: at least you will see POIs Icon on map.
Please give more detail what you did and failed.

Is the "updater.exe" the same as webupdate that can be downloaded from garmin website?
I just got nuvi 1490T and try to change its OS to enable Thai JCV.
Now I think I have rgn file ready, but don't understand how to flash it with rgn file in pre-boot mode.
Could you pls give more detail on this step?
    updater.exe is not webupdater.
The other way to convert your unit without updater.exe is to use RGN_Tool to save your rgn file to a gupdate.gcd file ., remember to override swv to same number both boot and fw_all.
and not forget to delete a gupdate.gcd within .system in your unit.

    Place gupdate.gcd in sd card\garmin\gupdate.gcd
turn off unit --> insert card--> turn on unit --> begin flashing.

But I advice you should have updater.exe because you need this tool for recover nuvi if you get in problem ie rebooting.

Thank so much for the detail steps and for the updater.exe file.
I flashed my nuvi 1490T several times, but after it booted up it reported an error msg like "hardware problem gps is disable pls send unit to engineer of gps 2xx for repair".
After that my unit stuck at stage "Updating software for EcoRoute HD" for so long that I decided to flashed it back to its original firmware.
Do you know how to fix this kind of problem? Any suggestion?

    At computer
    -Drag rgn on updater.exe
    -check USB connection

    At Nuvi 765
    -Plug in USB
-Push power botton to the right (Lock position)
    -Connect to computer

    Nuvi will boot up
-Press your finger at middle of screen
-You will see a little "system" indicate nuvi is in pre-boot mode

    At Updater.exe
    -Click OK.

    Good luck

I notice Garmin force us to using Webupdater to download the US formware. In this case, how to download the US.gcd ? Recently, US firmware released to 3.60. Should convert back to 2.50 then update by webupdate to 3.60 or direct convert back to 3.60 (but need to find a way to download the US.gcd first)

    This is direct download link
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
You can go back to 3.60 without 2.50 first.
Actually you should download .gcd file for updating later not by updating online by webupdater.
    Here is reasons.
1). Webupdater or dashboard will check your HWID out by searching in garmindevice.xml
2). HWID in garmindevice.xml may be wrong., because you may use a modified firmware that contain a wrong HWID within fw_all.bin .,
For example ::For 37xx series :: You can try to use RGN_Tool to make a rgn file
    -Use original boot.bin
-Add other regional fw_all.bin override HWID to same as boot.bin

    Flash
    nuvi boot up
Get HWID from garmindevice.xml and you will find it's wrong HWID

if you connect your unit with webupdater
Your unit may brick with wrong gupdate.gcd send from webupdater.

Thanks so much. I just dl the Sg/Mal firmware but it is .exe format, not .gcd. No idea how to perform the 3rd step.

•File->Open and select your Sg/Mal firmware GCD or RGN file

    Try this
    - Right click on .exe file
    -Extract files
-Then you will get .gcd inside.

    Try it
