Seems that automatic time zone setting was not available for any nuvi previous to the 2x5 series which introduced that option. The option depends on a special time zone map (gmaptz.img) on the unit as well as the necessary firmware to make use of that map which has the time zoneOriginally Posted by rsolomon

Ah bummer - I tried adding the map to the 855 but nothing changed. I assumed its firmware simply didn't support this, but hoped there might be some trick I'd missed or overlooked Originally Posted by catymag
