    Not sure about ASR files but probably it's the same, try, backup them and delete, then let us know.
    hi Caty, could i rename the jcv files to make it easier if i have lotsa maps. say australia.jvc europe.jvc? or do i have to follow the file name and cant change it?

    I have nuvi 1350, I understand that JCV might not work when renamed, but does it matter whether I rename map as well? In "maps" folder I can use watsoever name I like, but so far didn't succeed in waking up JCV. Is it problem in map name? Ir should I stick to Garmin folder (on SD card) and keep gmapsupp.img?

    Are you sure you can rename it in those units? As far as i know you should stick to the same file name ( i use 7xx, and tested lots of 2xx & 1xxx units!)
    Also lane assist is inside .img so nothing 2 worry , works perfectly in all units that are capable of it even without JCV !

    Does screen resolution (480x272, 800x480, etc) has to be compatible with the junction view files? Is that jcv file for all models are the same?

    In my Nuvifone M10, I've installed an additional map and tried to install the corresponding jcv file. Despite the jcv file is put in the possible locations described in above posts, only lane assistance showed up, but no reality junction view displayed. Is resolution (800x480 in my case) stopping the display?

    On the same note, I used the 3D building file from the same source, and it's usable. It seems that 3D building file isn't dependent on resolution. Or does it?

    You can use Gmap3d.img in all screen resolution device.
    And also jcv file ::
    You can use JCV file for 480x272 on 800x480 device., can use jcv for 800x480 on 480x272 device too.

    aekhong:

    Thank you very much for the quick reply.

    Another question if you don't mind:
    Do jcv and Gmap3d.img files have to be the same version as the main map file? ie, if using 2011.30 gmappsupp.img, the the corresponding jcv and 3d files must be 2011.30, not .20 or .40.

    I ask this because when using the 2011.30 AusNZ map, erratic drift occured in my machine. There is no problem using 2011.20 map (Don't know why, still trying to resolve it).
    Can I use 2011.20 map with 2011.30 jcv and 3d.img?

    Hi
    Can anyone clarify whether a Nuvi 1410 can display 3d with Gmap3d.img placed on the SD card with map and JCv?
    Thanks
