    Hello;
    I am familiar with turning maos on and off in my Nuvi 855 and have had at times had maps of Canada, North America and Mexico loaded because they have differing levels of detail. Dpending on where I am I keep only one of them visible because of the overlap problem. When you turn the 855 off for some period the battery discharges (it never fully turns off) to the point that when you turn it on again ALL maps are loaded and you have to repeat the proceedure to turn the unwanted ones off.
    I don't think there is a way around this problem because the current configuration is in volatile memory.
    Any ideas? Thanks for any feedback.
