Early model nuvi, zumo and dezl devices are quite similar both in hardware and their software operation. Therefore, the use of cure fw in those devices is the same, and the thread i linked "How to unbrick a nuvi ..." applies equally to your soft-bricked 590. Try QuickCure first to re-enable MSM, be sure to appropriately rename it to 179601000330.RGN before flashing.
