Thread: Astro/Alpha regional limitation patcher

I am traying to find this sequence in fw_all.bin. This is part from Alpha200iUS_WebUpdater__320.rgn file.

Of course, I try to find in other parts of Alpha200iUS_WebUpdater__320.rgn file, but without succes.

I can find this sequence in .rgn softwer for Alpha 100.

Hello @Miroslav! Could you explain me a little better? I don't have a good knowledge of the alpha200 device, let's say I'm at a basic level! I bought an alpha 200 from the USA to use it in Italy but having the frequency block doesn't work! Could you help me unlock it PLEASE?

This program works well when modifying the Astro 320 and Alpha 100.

It works by searching the firmware and changing the sequence 00 00 80 66 40 28 2D 44 54 with 00 00 00 00.
The author of this software tool knew that this part of the firmware blocks radio radiation when the device locates its location outside the USA.

The sequence that blocks the radio has been changed in the new Alpha 200i, so I don't know what needs to be changed. That's why this software tool doesn't work.

I don't know how to modify the Alpha 200i device and prevent the radio from blocking as well. Sorry

Can you help someone, i have American T5 and i want to use in EU. Can you tell me what i must change in .bin from flash. I need for use with Alpha 100 EU

Unfortunately, the .rgn firmware file for this device is securely encrypted, so you'll not find this sequence there before decrypting the file.

The Alpha 100 firmware file isn't encrypted.

If I find this sequence in rgn 14, can I replace it directly there (xrgn command, after I changed sequence).
PS. I will be fully responsibility for any damage, of course?

I searched the reg14 of my Alpha 200i K device.

I found the following:

I can replace this values with 00 00 00 00 00 00 00, but I do not know how to write new values in reg14 in device.

Hi!

I little changed original Astro/Alpha regional limitation pacher. It can find and replace string 00 80 66 40 28 2D 44 54 in reg_14 now, but I can not write modified reg_14 back in device.

I tried with xrgn and via Update.exe, but without success. Does anybody have advice or recomendation?[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
