Detailed instructions how to flash nuvi by Webupdater are in starting post, please read it.
If you loaded patched firmware you can go back to official firmware by Webupdater.
After that if you want to try again, redo the patch. All the needed links and how to do are in OP.

Thanks for the support .
Looks like I installed the wrong firmware for my 2597 device . Before this my HWID was 2077 but upon checking now it appears in the xlm file as 1947 !!
I tried changing this number with notepad but webupdater will not recognise my device then until I change it back !! Any solution ?
Appreciate it
Try flashing the correct original firmware for HWID 2077 to change it back, avoid any unnecessary use of the device before you do. Get the GCD fw file from here:
Convert it to an RGN file using RGN_Tool, name it out.rgn and then flash with Updater.exe in preboot. Clear nonvol both before and after flashing.Code:Please Login or Register to see the links

There's no way to enter preboot when the device has a non-responsive screen [i'd missed that point sorry]. It may be permanently hard-bricked. We can try to flash 2077 firmware by SD, it might work. This involves trying to use the original 2077 boot.bin as Ldr.bin in a 1947 folder but if it doesn't work it may even make it less recoverable. Do you want to try?

All at your further risk of course but i really doubt you can 'break' it further. Make sure the unit is fully OFF, not just in standby [you may have to hold the power button for up to 30 seconds]. Extract the RAR file to a CLEAN microSD and insert it in the nuvi then power it on. Make sure you have plenty of charge in the battery, if not power it on by connecting to a power source. Good luck.
Spoiler:
If the flash starts then 'Loader' or similar will appear on the screen. Don't interrupt it, it will boot when it's finished and hopefully it'll be back to normal. If it is, then immediately [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
