In the MARQ_25.85 folder there's a folder named SystemUpdate_25.85 containing a GUPDATE.GCD. It has HWID of 3246 (in hex 0CAE) which is the same HWID in the other fws, MARQCaptain_2050.gcd and MARQCaptain_900.gcd. None has HWID 3248.
You said you mistakenly flashed the Aviator fw to it previously which has HWID 3247 but in the GarminDevice.xml there is HWID 3248, correct?
I don't understand that it's now identifying as 3248 in the XML unless the Aviator fw had its HWID of 3247 overwritten to 3248 before it was flashed.
As for WebUpdater messages, it means that it has determined that the device doesn't have either 3248 or 3247. It seems to accept 3246 but if it then fails it may be due to your compilation of 324601000xxx.rgn being corrupt because RGN_Tool cannot deal properly with the fw. Try compiling the RGN using gfw.exe as i suggested before.
