Try by having it fully off, hold the upper left corner firmly and THEN plug the USB cable into device's socket. Have Updater.exe already open with 'USB Device' selected before you plug into the device and use only a rear port of PC. Have mouse cursor positioned over 'OK' button and click it instantly you see the device details appear, or you can hit Enter on PC's kb.
Because it exited pre-boot probably before you could click OK. Bootlooping devices can be difficult and you'll need to keep trying. Once you initiate a flash the device will hold preboot until the flash is finished but you must be persistent to catch it at the right moment.but following popu appears:
"The Garmin device is not responding. please ensure following and try again:
1. The Garmin device's Interface option is set to Garmin or Host mode
2. the cable is connected to the correct serial port
3. the GARMIN device is turned on.[/B]
If still unsuccessful use different USB cables and change to another port or even another PC.
