Either 3597 NA and EU versions are different or this series is locale dependent. I have been only able to imitate the above with NA model on first reboot immediately following clearing of NV. Once "Locale" selection screen has appeared it no longer works in corner. For NA 3597 [as with all 37/34/35x0] left thumb applied on and over 'G' works best.
