Also, maybe someone can do a definitive test of this version 2014.40 CN now that it's officially released. i.e. a genuine map, purchased for the device or supplied by Garmin on a card. A failure there would indicate firmware fault without doubt. Originally Posted by Giomen

On other forums, people report that legal and other types of maps, like OpenStreetMap, also suffer form this problem. If all these people speak the truth about the legality of their maps, this points more to a firmware issue.
