Hi,
Apparently, only CN Maps are affected : Topo France v3 unlocked with gimgunlock is still displayed on my Montana with new 5.6 firmware whereas CN Europe NTU 2014-40 is not.
So is the problem really linked to .gma authentification (new topo maps have .gma authentification as well, haven't they ?) ?
I'm downgrading to 5.4 !

Have you tried FID 800 Maps like modified CityXplorer 2014.1 ?
Maybe a similar technique could be used ?? Like changing the FID, Internal Name etc
The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.

In a Dutch forum it's reported that the problem is there(also) with the new European map from Openfietsmap (Openstreetmap), that map has the MAPID:10140
Here there is no gma-file in question.
So Garmin has made a mistake with this new firmware upgrade, or it is the beginning of a further security methodology![]()
