Thread: Newbie with bricked 780

Success!!! I took a stock 760_290 Firmware HWID 0754, and created a Cure FW (075401000290). This one took, and WORKED! I was able to remove the GUPDATE.GCD from the mass storage!
Then I created an ORIGINAL 2.90 FW, and used Updater again. It boots up now! But gets stuck on the "Do not attempt to enter route info" warning. It just beeps on the "Agree" button.

I'll fiddle a bit more and report back soon

Do you still have this GUPDATE.gcd that you remove from nuvi?
Please say that you didnt delite it but you add on Pc for backup and you can upload on Noeman.
