Galaxy S5 Kitkat 4.4.2 / Nuvi1200->1250 / Nuvi3790T->34xx / Nuvi 2200 / Nuvi 66 / Oregon 600
I tried flashing region 140 using the tool provided in order to enable the remaining features but with no success ( managed to write the region 140 as explained but when I reboot nothing happens ) I will keep trying after next week
By the way for the Ldr.bin should I use the 1376 or 1101 ? I had a nuvi 3750 but in the inventory page I see 1376 so I am using 1376 for the Ldr.bin

If you didn't convert back to 3750 as you stated in that earlier post and your unit is still 34xx, then yes, your HWID is 1376 and you use the boot.bin from 34xx fw renamed to Ldr.bin (37xx has HWID 1101 and 37xx doesn't have 140.bin). Check your work against the instructions in Post 1 here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. In [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] of that thread there's a kit by lolypop000 for enabling features in 35xx. In there is a text file tutorial which you can use to check your work but don't use that kit unaltered for 34xx of course.

Thanks Neil for your time. Here is what I did:
1-followed the instruction Transform a Nuvi 37xx in a Nuvi 34xx for dummies = Done no problem
2- Run webupdater and upgrade software from 7.10 to 7.50 with others update= everything OK except that I don't have MP3
3-Downloaded the kit from 2xxx and 3xxx series enable features application ( saving the boot bin from the initial nuvi34xx_GCDFile__710.gcd to Ldr.bin and changed the path to garmin/updater/1376. After writing back the altered file reg_140.bin and nuvi off I still didn't get the selected features (MP3, video player, phonelink, custom main menu, supplementary 3D, 2D footprint and Premium Points addressing) I didn't select the others features as I already have them.
I am certainly missing something and as you suggested will double check again the instructions next week ( this week wife needs the gps).
Once again thanks for this community.
Try it with Ldr.bin from 7.50 fw seeing you have already upgraded to it. Good luck, and let's know how it goes.

I see many users having many problems enabling features with the "enable features application" for this reason I prefere to recommend files to flash by sd posted in [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
That's easier and successful for everyone.
I mean these:
Another way to convert 34xx with logo and enable features :
Flash full 34xx firmware
Unpack the file to an empty SD card, turn nuvi off, insert card, turn nuvi on.
remove sd.
Files are attached to the above linked thread.

Flash over SD is easy and all can do this with no problem
p.s.
Neil, i see that you ar Moderator, congratulations![]()

True, true, true. Absolutely agree that it's best to use SD method. Easier, quicker and more reliable. I was more interested in this case to see why it wasn't working, and seeing that there was a mismatch if sonataGL could then be successful using the ldr.bin matching his current fw. I haven't had any problems using any method, but agree the best advice is to simply flash with SD files. I'm curious why so many users have had trouble with 'enable features application' when i haven't had any problems even after flashing back and forth a few times 3790<>3490. Maybe using a mis-matched ldr.bin is the problem? It would be good if sonataGL could still give it one last try and report for that reason. Then if it doesn't work, he can get lazy like i did and use sd method. I wouldn't have suggested he try again if we were in the main thread though .....
@dasilvara
I think you're right. It's advisable, maybe even essential, not to mismatch to avoid 'headaches'.
PS: Thanks for the congrats guys.
