True, true, true. Absolutely agree that it's best to use SD method. Easier, quicker and more reliable. I was more interested in this case to see why it wasn't working, and seeing that there was a mismatch if sonataGL could then be successful using the ldr.bin matching his current fw. I haven't had any problems using any method, but agree the best advice is to simply flash with SD files. I'm curious why so many users have had trouble with 'enable features application' when i haven't had any problems even after flashing back and forth a few times 3790<>3490. Maybe using a mis-matched ldr.bin is the problem? It would be good if sonataGL could still give it one last try and report for that reason. Then if it doesn't work, he can get lazy like i did and use sd method. I wouldn't have suggested he try again if we were in the main thread though .... .

I think you're right. It's advisable, maybe even essential, not to mismatch to avoid 'headaches'.
