Thread: GTM36 and GTM26 problem with TMC on nuvi series 2xxx and 3xxx

What GPS model are you using?
What traffic signature was installed and what new one did you try to install?
Please put the other screens of the traffic menu, especially the traffic signature.

Nuvi 2495 lt/gtm 36. I tried to install signature for here traffic (ru) with the following data: FID: 18183, PID: 1, RID: 0 , VID: 0. Of course nothing was added, but stop tuning.

I see some problems: first, the GTM 26 and 26 cables are not compatible with non-original parallel signatures generated by the JetMouse in the 2012 series gps (24x5, 25x5, 3400, 3500). So all signatures installed with jetmouse do not work on these gps, including yours, see the posts on page 3 and after on this topic. However, other original factory-installed signatures work normally. On the other hand, the Jetmouse signature on the same cable, should work with earlier models of gps and some later.


The error that your screen displays seems to have no direct relation to the subscription, but with some update of the firmware of the cable / tuner, I have seen this happen. The updates are automatic and it is very likely that you have not noticed .. But we will see possible solutions later.
Another problem is in relation to the parameters of the signature that you showed: where you got it, are you sure that it is tested and it works? Did you install any other before it? The one that you have has VID = 0 which indicates a signature to delete another one already installed, that is, to delete the signature 18183, 1, 0, 1
You have missed the GTM Info screen, where the FM stations and the tuning codes appear ..

Before that codes for here traffic (ru) were added. Has earned nothing, but at the same time the "open" navicom (ru) service continued to work.

Hi guys, I have read everything I could find on this forum but I haven't found an answer to my problem.
So I'm writing in this old thread and I hope someone can help me.
I got a GTM35 on my desk with the following problem during Traffic provider finds providers but TMC does not work.
9/e4/2/35 4 3 is the code but it does not show the traffic information, I have connected the receiver to 2 different NUVI's and the problem persists.
But when I connect the GTM36, the receiver accepts the 9/e4/2/35 0 4 information and displays it correctly.
on both GTM35/36 receivers the lifetime subscription to Radio SI/TrafficNav (SI) is also activated.

Which 2 nuvi devices are you testing the GTM35 and 36 with? However, it's unlikely to be a compatibility issue as usually it's the other way around, i.e. older devices might not recognize the newer 36 but work fine with the 35.
