As far as I remember enabling features worked with 3490 fw version 3.60.
Not tested with other fw versions by me.
I'm not sure, but I think enabling features by using xml files doesn't work with nuvi 3790. Only by patching (modifying) region 140.
The whole device memory is divided into some regions. Region 140 is a part of the whole system.
Somewhere in this forum is a topic about executing code from SD card. At this topic is explained about regions.

Now I understand Region 140.
The FW version is also what Im thinking abt, maybe the latest one doesnt allow mod anymore so Im thinking of
downgrading to 3.60 as you have mentioned. I tried the patch mod but didnt work.

I did read everything from the beginning of this thread.
downloaded every files (which i am thankful that most of the files are linked by other members)
and did exactly eveything step by step...

but my 3790 didnt have the extra features.

im thinking the latest firmware doesnt allow it anymore.
not unless someone can prove me wrong otherwise that they have a 3790 ver 4.90
with working extra features

Another way to convert 34xx with logo and enable features.
Files have been renewed recently: Udated on 13.10.2012
added Video Player and Premium Point Addressing and updated Ldr.bin

Caty do you mean features as on 34xx will be enabled or just features of 37xx can be enabled (disabled)?
I was sure (and I still am) that some features of 34xx model cannot be enabled on 37xx. Am I wrong?
