Thread: nuvi 205w bricked?

I try but this not solve unfortunately. Just for understand the problem I will explain how is the process that I do to change the firnware because is not normal in my nuvi.
put the file in the updater press ok
message uploading appers and the bar fill to 100% inmediatly, then the screen of the nuvi shows "software missing" , no matter the firmware used ,and here is the key.
if i wait the updater shows error message

and finalize the process .
but if i unplug the usb, power off and power on when the nuvi preboot again, continues with the erasing and then uploading the firmware
this is the only way to work the updater.
coming on the virus problem , any change that made on the storage of nuvi, supposted delete everything ,when i unplug and plug again all restored to original state, if i try to copy from pc to nuvi the usb lose the connection like quit the hardware, i don't know maybe the flash is broken and its read only
