    Default garmin 1300 truck mode? wich firmware?

    as i read here

    exist firwmares with truck mode for this device

    can please some one tell me wich firmware and how to load ? thanks!

    My friend please don't write same question three times. No need for that. Yes, asian firmwares have "truck" mode. Not same as 465. Unfortunately, I doubt some can you an explanation what does truck mode in asian firmwares gives more than the normal "automotive" mode.

    i need to know more thing before i proceed... the correct firmware so is the japanese 3.0 right?
    and HOW can i load it without destroyng my unit?

    last question: 13xx 14xx have same hardware right? I own a 1300... can i maybe trasform it in 14xx ? to have more funcions?
    i see on garmin site that 13xx can be upgraded to navigon 40... so it should be same hw i suppose? can you confirm?

    @tommaso

    If you flash to nuvi 40 you loose function that you have now.

    If you flash your nuvi to 1460 CHN you have routes and some cookies

    So the right procedure for you is to listen Neil Kennedy and flash with modified FW to get JCV,LA,TTS.

    Then if you need routes,download CHN FW for nuvi 1460 or JPN FW for 1360/1460

    Use rgn tool and replace CHN or JPN boot.bin with yours from EU FW,you can find tutorial on this forum how to use rgn tool.

    replace also HWID and SWID with yours from EU FW.

    Remove gupdate.gcd from your nuvi,change your folder Voice to voice1,Text to Text1,Keyboard to Keyboard1 and flash with modified rgn to CHN or JPN.

    I think that I fixed it.
    I flashed JPN again using RGN method.
    I did not allow the nuvi to boot after the flash.
    Put in a EU/US GUPDATE.GDC 5.40 in system folder..
    Removed the USB Cable and it flashed with a good garmindevice.xml.

    I want to try it on a Nuvi 1300.

    thanks friends

    so best firmw is the chn or jpnese maybe if some one have already done that would be good for every 13xx/14xx owner to have a guide to do that without loosing ability to come back to original firmware... i readed many posts but i dont have all the info...

    1). flash with modified FW to get JCV,LA,TTS.
    2). Flash to CHN or JPN ( use your original US boot.bin )

    Flash to nuvi 40 you loose function because of other series. (1xxx vs 40)

    here you can see that navigon 40 premium can be upgraded to truck version
    so now if 1300 can be upgraded to -> navigon 40 and then to truck version

    can be my 1300 run navigon 40 premium truck edition firmwarE?

    Where did you see >13xx can be upgraded to navigon 40> ?

    You cant convert Garmin Nuvi 13xx to Navigon 40.
    But you can convert Navigon 1310 to Navigon 40.

    Look here all models of Navigon and you see 13xx and 14xx Navigon device.

    If you move slider to the right all the way you see series 1xxx
