Nuvi 3450, SW v7.60
City Navigator North America NT 2013.20 & CityXplorer North America 2013.10
Enabled all features except Bluetooth & Voice Command
Sorry Catmag, I am so lost LOL. let me rephrase.
Copy DeviceConfig_VideoPlayback_Disabled.xml and UpdateDeviceConfig.xml in Garmin folder. Safely Disconnect nuvi from pc and restart it. This will remove it from nuvi, correct? If that's the case, i did it like thousand times and still Video icon is not removing from nuvi..

Then try all of features not only vdo.![]()
reset, hard reset, or copying all .xml to Gamin folder does no work. This is strange though. When I first time did the "enable feature", all the .xml file disappear from Garmin Folder. Now if I were to enable or disable, all the .xml files are still in the Garmin folder.
Could this be the case where it didnt get update that's y all icon still active?
thanks all for helping.. So what other possibility?

Why dont you use Mapupdater? It's so much better and it rarely fails. I never use LT Updater.
Read my post n55 in this thread, reading the whole thread gives you many infos![]()

Something or somewhat must be blocking it from UpdateDeviceConfig.xml to do it's job. None of the .xml files disappeared, only UpdateDeviceConfig.xml got disappeared.

I too had this problem...
Did you try to use firmware 7.x? or maybe even 6.x? I had 2 identical 3760's and the first one I did, I flashed initially using 34xx FW 4.80. Then copied the .xml files to the \Garmin and after a reboot, all the features were enabled and the xml files disappeared.
Then I tried it on my second one but went straight for 7.1 when it was available. After I had flashed it, and copied the xml files, none of the features were enabled and all the xml files were still in the \Garmin folder. So I have a feeling it has something to do with the newer firmware.
I then used the SD card method to enable the features but the only feature that didn't appear was the Video Player. So I reflashed my 3760 back to 37xx firmware, and redid the process again first starting with 34xx 4.80 firmware, then copying the xml files to \Garmin and then all the features were enabled and xml files no longer there. Then upgraded using WebUpdater to 7.10.
Oh, I never thought of going back to FW 4.80 since my nuvi was already in 6.xx and you're right on after updating to v7.10, everything screw up. I can't enable nor disable on 7.10. Something must be blocking the file. Maybe Noeman's Moderators might able to answer that. There's a lot more problems on 7.10 so I return the device for an exchange for a new 3490 since i only had it less than 3wks.
OP: 1) Since 3490 already enabled these, see picture, do I need to enable again or no need too.
2) Also, will enabling VideoPlayback, TrafficEula, CustomMainMenu, MP3 Player, TTS Phonetics, & TrafficEula work on nuvi 3450? I know that bluetooth & voice command will not work unless you soldered for voice command.
3) what is TTS Phonetics, CustomMainMenu, & TrafficEula use for? I guess TrafficEula you need a GTM60 to work? Is TTS Phonetics for ASR (voice command)? if so no need to enable.

If you must to send it back to Garmin , reflash 37xx firmware and use the files attached in post n1 :
files are attached, follow instructionsand to return to 37xx ,its logo included:
Flash full 37xx firmware
same as above, unpack the file to an empty SD card, turn nuvi off, insert card, turn nuvi on.
remove sd
