    Thank you Catymag. I have slow download speeds but will try the LT updater and re-download to see what happens... but even though my LT updater is recognizing my nuvi as a 3790, will it still download the necessary files for a 3490 such as the ASR, SID and DB files? I've seen in another post from voyager56 that the LT updater recognizes his as a 3490, not the case with mine? Does anyone else have the LT updater download the 3490 files while recognizing as a 3790?

    Check what do you have in .System\Diag\html

    Remove them adding the related DeviceConfig_Disabled.xml, for example :DeviceConfig_VideoPlayback_Disabled.xml and UpdateDeviceConfig.xml in Garmin folder. Safely Disconnect nuvi from pc and restart it.

    What do you mean by "remove them"? Remove what? Do you mean edit "support_feature.html" (ex. delete Video Playback) then paste DeviceConfig_VideoPlayback_Disabled.xml and UpdateDeviceConfig.xml in Garmin folder.?

    Lol remove from Nuvi the features you dont want- HOW?
    adding (= copying )the related DeviceConfig_Disabled.xml, for example :DeviceConfig_VideoPlayback_Disabled.xml and UpdateDeviceConfig.xml in Garmin folder. Safely Disconnect nuvi from pc and restart it.
    I cant explain it better

    @cat2115
    Why do you want to remove features out?

    It's not matter.
