I have lost the icon to add shorcuts in the where to screen. Is there any way to restore it? I have tried clearing the nonvol and reseting the nuvi.

Thank you everyone who replied, much appreciated. I have learnt the folly of my ways. Garmin will not let pre-boot mode load (at least on my unit) if I try to do it within 2 minutes of the previous attempt. I just waited a lot longer than 2 minutes and managed to get pre-boot mode to load every time by touching the top left corner of the screen.
I have another question and maybe this belongs in another thread.
The 3490LMT does NOT come with eco-route, if I was to get the 3490LMT (just for the faster processor - because 3d terrain rendering is sluggish on the 3790), will I be able to copy the eco-route files from my current 3790 onto the 3490? Reason I ask is the 3490 does not have EcoRoute (unless you buy it) but when I upgraded my 3790 FW, it still showed I had ecoroute. Which means I should be able to copy some files over.
Does anyone have any clues to point me in the right direction?

Hi people,
Please, your units coverted from 3790T to 34XX are working the 3D buildings?
I'm in Brazil and and GPS is installed with with CN South America 2012.40 NT and the 3D.img is on the "map" folder.
Are there something that I have to do to fix that?

Hello Rodrigo, yes we see 3d buildings on 34xx, download the file in the attachment in post n1

Now I repeated again, without success....
The folder is the Garmin inside the internal memory, correct? Just copy the .xml files inside the Garmin folder and do a reboot, ok?

Hi aekhong and catymag,
I got it !!
Stranger thing, but I had to put the gmap3d.img inside the .System folder.
Before the convert, like 3790T, the GPS had read the gmap3d.img inside the "map" folder....
But it is ok. Matters that is working everything now!

This tool has just killed the preboot of my nuvi 40 gps. After the procedure, I have just a black screen and the gps is recognized now as MT5331 unknown device.
Please help!
