I create pack for you with this command inside: copydir,1:/voice/,0:/Garmin/voice/
Extract rar direct on empty SD card
You must add English_British_.vpm in folder voice and then try from SD if will work.

We are talking about the program ldr.bin attached in OP and commands can be executed by sd to load files in nuvi. Nothing to do with Garmin Updater.exe .

yes, i know. i just wondering some use Updater.exe even connection not works...

and answer my quiz not coming again.... do i just renema ldr.bin to 2.bin

maybe some one make step step method for copy from sd to device
there is too much unnecessary information which is mixed with the head

I think 90% normal users not understand this thread at all... and 100% if english is like me...

I think you cant use Updater.exe if USB connector is broken.

Ldr.bin is your firmware boot.bin you can extract with RGN_tool

You must build your directory in sd like in zip attached in post n1, but with files for your nuvi model with your HWID folder and the right ldr.bin, using the commands you need in update.txt.
In case of nuvi 2xx (and in some outdoor devices like Dakota and O600) you need also to add update.log or commands wont be executed.
This thread is old and probably is the result of researches and user's curiosity after discovering other stuffs in other threads some time ago weird you haven't followed them.

I think you cant use Updater.exe if USB connector is broken.

adrianam connector IS broken, that i mean....

1. test
Well, i make test with 255w and not works, OP ltr.bin it is not universal

2. test
1. I take boot.bin with rgn tool from 255w firmware and rename it Ldr.bin
2. copy Ldr.bin and update.txt to Garmin\Updater\0827
3. I make test update.txt

4. boot and wait...

result is it works like charm.... last_id.bin & update.log created and all 3 files copied....

so i need RGN tool for this...
I think same method works with nuvi 200.... just check HWID

I think you should back up your NV too
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
We played with firmware in some devices and this is good to restore NV, just in case

If you delete folder voice from your device and use command that you wrote in post #82, folder voice is auto created?

I also don't have 2xx device to test

I do it upside down it make folder to SD, one moment i make test to device.......

and yes it not makes voice folder... even copy,1:/Garmin/voice,0:/Garmin/voice not works for me... need check more this
