No, there are 2 chip versions in 2x5W as stated in post#46 and the most common is HWID 0827, the 'non-MTK' version. MTK has HWID of 1091. To check, hold the battery indicator for ~ 6 seconds, press Next>Start Test>More. Look at the 2nd entry in the first 3 lines. It will show B0827-00 or B1091-00. You can also get it from the GarminDevice.xml in the unit's Garmin folder: <PartNumber>006-BXXXX-00</PartNumber>
