is it possible that I maybe installed 2460 firmware that is not LMT so it does not have the camera alerts?
Just checked, on the GPS it seems that POI folder is empty

LMT doesn't matter on the firmware and it has no connection with the cameras alert. Cameras are in the folder POI in a separate files.
