Your cure FW is longer in size that the original FW. That is wrong! It should be same in size. Don't do that as you can broke the nuvi. Better use the one I posted in my previous post.

Sorry, I got very confused by your comments. You should be more specific. Most probably this cure won't help the guy. The reason is that this method only helps when there is problematic files in the memory or bad sectors and no access to the memory. But if the memory is formatted let say in NTFS, FAT32 etc. most probably it won't work. I really don't know. If I am not mistaken nuvi 2x5 series are using FAT.
