I know this is an old thread and I did check to see if there was any rules about digging up an old thread first before I replied.

I am basically trying to do what the person who started this thread set out to do and I am encountering some difficulties.

I have a 3760T and I am trying to get 3D on it by upgrading to the modded firmware using the tool from turboccc. My troubles are this, my GPS was on US 4.90 firmware when I started this and I have done which I think is correct and so far have not been able to unlock 3D buildings. I have done this;

1. Grabbed the GUPDATE.GCD from the 3760T
2. Used RGN_tool 0.84 to apply the 3790T patch to the GUPDATE.GCD file
3. Created the RGN from this patched GCD
4. Used updater.exe to transfer the RGN to the unit (while in pre-loader
5. Restarted after updater.exe said it was successful

This is where I am not now, no 3D buildings. I put the 3D maps on there, I can see them listed alongside my normal maps and they are checked. Also interestingly enough there is no ASR or POIs (I don't think US units get POI on maps, but not too worried about this).

I am thinking that the next step is to flash an older US firmware then use the RGN tool again to upgrade to the patch 4.90.

I have also seen a thread about upgrading a 37xx to a 34xx, which I am considering if the above doesn't work.

Does anyone have any comments?
