    Default How to move the map to extSdCard on Samsung Galaxy Note 2

    Hi catymag, thanks you so much that you deliver the way SP easily installed on JB 4.1.2.
    It works on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7100 official JB 4.1.2 no rooted. But it makes my phone has a warning said "Storage space running out; Some system functions may not work".
    I'd like to install the map on my extSdCard due to as large as more than 2 GB of the City Navigator North America NT 2013.40 consumed the internal memory so bad. Is there any way to move the map from internal phone memory to extSdCard on no rooted one?
    I'm used to save the map as on Garmin-Asus A-10 and A-50 (on external SD card) and I hope it can be with my Galaxy Note 2.

    Note by catymag: try other libgarminos.so to install it in external sd card etc

    Default Working Note I717 JB 4.1.2

    Posting to say thanks and to let everyone know that Streetpilot is working wonderfully on a Samsung I717 Note running 4.1.2. I used the files and install instructions from the beginning of post 1. I had to edit libgarminos.so back to the "before" for the battery icon and also to use the maps on the external sd card. I find the resolution is perfect for the 1280 x 800 display on my phone. The app takes 4 seconds to boot up to the license agreement screen.


    I noticed there is an error in the Garmin.rar upload. The basemap file is gmapbmap .img. (Notice the space between p and . which is not correct nor allowed for android)


    Edit: how do you get the dashboards to work? It is not showing up in Map and Vehicle menu.

    Hi chinnachot,
    I've tested the apk from your link with the Garmin folder and maps put in extSdCard, but it did not work. The StreetPilot stuck on black screen after system initializing.
    Could you please give a brief explanation how to install it (step by step)?

    Can I copy and apply the edited libgarminos.so directly into a non-rooted device??
    Because the device I have is the non-rooted one with OS JB 4.1.2 official.

    Thanks you for solving the extSdCard map issue, the link [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] works well on my Galaxy Note 2 JB 4.1.2 official non-rooted.

    this one solved my problems, all ok now Samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1

    Hi!
    I tried every SP 2.16 Jelly Bean 4.1.1 non rooted installation you customized on this forum and still no luck with version which can find Garmin folder on my external SD card. Application works fine, but doesn't read from folder where application files and maps are stored (extracted from Garmin.rar). I don't have enough internal memory on phone so SD card is my only option. Can you please try to make custom apk for my phone. It is Huawei Y300 and path to external sd card in explorer is "/storage/sdcard1" I hope this helps

    I would be really grateful if you could try.
