Garmin published eTrex x2x (Gen 1) Firmware version 2.80 on February 16, 2023:
Changes made to version 2.80:
Fix issue with address search.
Fix auto-populate of track name when saving.
The eTrex x2x series (Gen2) has been updated internally with new hardware, necessitating a new and unique firmware for the newer devices.

Changes made to version 2.80: (Gen 1)
- Improvements to display of text and pointer for right-to-left languages.
- Fix issue with address search.
- Fix auto-populate of track name when saving.
- Fix issue with navigation recalculation/restart.
You can determine which version your eTrex x2x is by viewing the <PartNumber>006-B****-00</PartNumber> tag in the GarminDevice.xml text file found in the [eTrex x2x]:\Garmin\ directory.
